Linwood Parent Council
Welcome to the Linwood School Parent Council’s web page. We are a volunteer group of parents and caregivers who want to contribute a little extra and share in the educational lives of our children.
On this page, and the links that follow, we hope you come to know a little more about us, our programs and Linwood School.
Council Meetings
Parent Council meetings are held on the first Monday of each month, starting in September. The meetings are held in the teacher’s lounge on the main floor and we are open to everyone. Elections are held each year in September for the executive members. The meetings begin at 7:00 p.m.
We are always looking for new and talented people that are interested in learning about their children’s school and doing more for their educational lives. New ideas, energy and interest can go a long way in making your child’s life rewarding and interesting.

Milk Store
Linwood School Parent Council Volunteers run a school based milk store where children can purchase white or chocolate milk. Tickets are available every second Tuesday morning. Prices are as follows:
White and Chocolate Milk 0.75 cents each
Fun Lunches
Throughout the school year, Parent Council holds a number of “Fun Lunches”. These lunch time events, managed by the parent volunteers of the school, allow the children to have a little something special for lunch. Kindergarten classes enjoy a “snack” on Fun Lunch days. Watch for the order forms to be sent home.

There are a variety of events at Linwood School, that require volunteers. If you hear of an event, or see something advertised in the newsletter, and you wish to help out, please contact the school.
